Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) is a group program that was initially designed to delay or prevent the recurrence of depression, but now includes patients who are acutely depressed.
Amongst other things, MBCT can offer an effective alternative to antidepressants when patients are in partial or full remission from depression.

It is an 8-week outpatient group program where we teach the following skills:
MINDFULNESS SKILLS
Including meditation, breathing, movement, using your senses and the body scan.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) skills
Learn how your thoughts and behaviours impact your mood.

Expression to join the program through the completion of an online electronic form

An evaluation and acceptance into the program based on clinical criteria. If we think MBCT is not the best program for you currently, we will provide an alternative

8-week program consisting of a 2-hour session (face to face) or 1.5-hour session (online)
